Bethesda Khankho Foundation
Bethesda-Khankho Foundation works full-time for sustainable transforming community and ecological wellness. Our immediate partners are tribal/indigenous communities in North-East India, particularly in the state of Manipur.
The organization is founded on the principle of sacrificial love of the divine locally expressed in the indigenous people’s tradition of ‘Khankho’ – the altruistic culture that upholds the society. Our motto is ‘be transformed to transform.’ Dr Jangkholam Haokip and his wife Dr Laljem Haokip founded the charitable organization after their long involvements in community services.
Bethesda-Khankho Foundation is registered as a charitable organisation in India under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 and our sister organization Bethesda Khankho International is registered as SCIO in Scotland, UK.
